- Elly Heairfield Added May 29, 2021★ ★ ★ ★ ★We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a pub with nice open outdoor verandah to dine on, friendly service and a good variety of meals. My partner enjoyed the local brew and the beef burgers we had for lunch were sensational, made with good fresh ingredients. We would definitely recommended paying this place a visit for the food, atmosphere & friendly helpful staff.

The green ginger beer wasn't very good though.

After looking at a few other options for lunch (often pricey) our family of four were so glad to be seated out on the cool verandas of this lovely hotel. 18 yo son had the blue alcoholic ginger beer we had seen in posters (see photo) really good. Service was spot on and food was faultless. While the presentation was not remarkable (again see photos) it was clear the cooks really knew their stuff- every meal was so fresh and tasty. Special mention to the public bar manager who was so helpful with recommending wines and beers - I was in heaven with the local Coral Sea Brewing ale.
