  Things have slowed down at Kuranda since covid, alot of businesses only opening Thur to Sunday for Markets,. Reduced rail services, not disembarking from Kuranda only Cairns area. Very sad to see for this once buselling and unique area. Jobs are vacant, waterfalls are flowing

  We went to Kuranda with little planning and arrived at around noon on New Year’s Eve. We were very tight with time and if it wasn’t for the helpfulness of the lady working at the information centre, we wouldn’t have enjoyed the day as much. Not only was she helpful, she was also very attentive, present and caring. Highly recommend anyone going to Kuranda without a tour guide to have a chat with these helpful peeps! Thanks again!!!

  Kind staffs and a small exhibition. You can also see some live frogs and redback spiders. What we can expect at a visitor center in a small village? I think it worths for 5 stars.

  I have visited a lot of Tourist Information Centres during our travels in Australia and they are usually my favourite places to go first in a new city. But this one was sadly the worst I have encountered. I have never felt so unwelcome... The ladies behind the counter were arrogant and treated us like some stupid nobodies. We even gave them second chance and visited this place for the 2nd time in the same day and it was not better. I felt that I am annoying and disturbing them. Very poor customer service!! (Visited June 22)

  Lovely little village. Markets not as big as I'd remembered. Make sure you get there early, as most shops shut about 3pm! Easy 2 hour parking. Easy to walk around the whole place, but it is hilly. Nice big grassed section and play area for the kids.

  Great little tourist village. Lots of high-priced junk on sale. Some excellent art, food, shops and sights. Train up and cable down is best.
